Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to welcome You and your child to my 6th grade class for the year 2024-2025. My name is Ms. Khong. As we start the school year, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and go over some classroom and school policies. 

I have been teaching for 21 years and have taught all grades ranging from Special Ed. to 6th grade. I have also work with high school students. This is my 8th years at Lillian Street Elementary School.

Every year I share my expectations with the students and parents. I truly believe every student has the ability to succeed. Please make sure your child is here, prepared, and on time every day. Attendance is very important and I expect to see your child in my class every day. In the event that your child needs to miss a day, please make sure they come back with a doctor’s note or written note in order for it to be excused.

Be advised that students will be turning in their phones to me every morning and I will return it to them at the end of the day. Please check your students backpacks to insure they aren't bringing anything that will get them in trouble. Please also check your students red folder for any important flyer or information being send home.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. We are excited to see what this year holds and to witness the growth and achievements of our students.
