Welcome to Fifth Grade!
My name is Ms. Canal. I am excited to be teaching 5th grade again. This year will be my 25th year in education, 19 years of which have been here at Lillian St. Elementary.  I am passionate about creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. I love encouraging my students to have an open communication with me and never feel any negative emotions. I can’t wait to fill the year with many memories of great learning experiences, conversations, books, and laughter. I am excited and eager to meet all of my students, some of whom I have had the pleasure of being their Kindergarten Teacher many years ago. Please feel free to contact me at any time through school email or Schoology. Of course, you can always send a note with your child if you have any questions or concerns. Here is the following information:

 -The school will provide supplies, but these are a few things your child may want to bring: a reusable water bottle, pencil case or box, and personal earphones in a case.

 -These donation items would be greatly appreciated by all of us in the classroom if you wished to donate: Kleenex boxes, hand sanitizer, and baby wipes.
