Alice Kim-Martinez, Assistant Principal, EIS

Hello families,

My name is Alice Kim-Martinez, and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal, EIS, at Lillian Elementary. This is my second year supporting our wonderful school community, and I’m truly grateful to be back.

Lillian is a special place — our students, families, and staff have been incredibly welcoming and supportive. I’ve felt nothing but warmth and kindness upon my return, and I deeply appreciate the strong sense of community that makes Lillian so amazing.

My primary role as an APEIS is to support special education services at the school site. My focus is to ensure that students with disabilities receive appropriate educational support and services as mandated by their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

As the APEIS, I support and oversee special education services to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, including IDEA. I facilitate IEP meetings, coordinate services for students with disabilities, and support the implementation of IEPs. I work closely with teachers to improve instruction through differentiated strategies and provide guidance to special education staff. Collaboration with families, district personnel, and school administrators is central to creating an inclusive and effective learning environment.
